Oxys - Form Animation
An animation made to represent an abstract form.
Intro
Oxys emerged while trying to showcase "Twist" in a form. With every edge shifting through a twist and an interplay of four hexagons slightly off centered, oxys unfolds as a bold and dynamic form. This form was developed by Srinidhi Srinivasan, an industrial designer and I took on the task of animating it and bringing a rythm with her thought process of form ideation

Stages of the Form
I animated four different scenes to bring meaning from the form designer's intent

Motion Logic
The animation is meant to ease you into the form rather than show everything at once. By introducing it in stages, it gives time to understand the geometry, the twist, and how the form holds together. It works as a supporting layer to the form study, adding flow and closure without taking focus away from the object itself.

I extend my gratitude to Srinidhi Srinivasan for developing this form and letting me make this animation.
